Stewart Iron Works Company

Neil has been working on the research for the Stewart Iron Works Company. Here's what he has found out so far:
The company still exists, and I spoke with Ms. Sherry Bomkamp who gave me a way to test for the age of the gate (pre or post 1910). Our gate's condition suggests that it is pre 1945 because after WWII they were made of wrought steel instead of wrought iron, and the newer ones did not hold up as well over time. She said that a sister company also produced lighting fixtures (possibly the one over the front door?). I am going to send her some photos of the fence, fixtures, and all other iron elements from the house. Ms. Bomkanp is very familiar with the Stewart Company's historic designs (they still produce them today), and may be able to provide documentation of our fence and the other elements.

Future Uses of the home

Stephanie spoke with Ms.Wright about the future uses of the home as an educational and rental facility. Please read about the educational plan and current rental guidelines. Stephanie also provided us with a third document discussing the future uses of the home.
